At the age of 6, Jusuf Beshiri began playing the piano at the Tirana School of Music and later continued his studies at the Lyceum of Fine Arts. During this period he was chosen to represent the Lyceum in the Final Concert of the Writers and Artists League (Albania). In 1989 he graduated cum laude at the Academy of Arts under the supervision of Nora Çashku and later upon request of the renowned composer Kosma Lara was engaged in the recordings of some of her works at the Radio-Television studios. In 1991, Jusuf Beshiri moved to Milan where he continued his studies in organ and organ composition with Ivana Vallotti at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire graduating in 1998 cum laude. He has performed in numerous masterclasses with illustrious teachers such as Radulescu (Lichtenstein), Luigi Tagliavini and Jose L. G. Uriol at the Acadamy of High Perfection for Organ in Pistoia. After his organ studies, Jusuf turned his attention to the Harpsichord (Clavicembalo), Clavichord and Fortepiano under the supervision of internationally renowned Laura Alvini, Emilia Fadini and Edoardo Bellotti (basso continuo), teaching professors in the Department of Ancient Music at the Civic School, Milan. He later graduated cum laude in Harpsichord and Fortepiano at the Conservatoire in Milan and that year went on to win the national competition G.Gambiin Pesaro. Jusuf has made several recordings for RCA recording studio and Video Rhona Classics and has been on the teaching staff at the International Academy of Music in Milan. As a soloist he has had a very intensive artistic activity in both Italy and abroad. Jusuf has performed with several important chamber music ensembles and is a regular artist at the International Organ Festival Citta di Arezzoâ€. Among the highlights of his career was the celebratory concert held to inaugurate the Catholic Cathedral in Tirana held in the presence of the secretary of state for the Vatican, Cardinal Sodano. He is currently a member of United Europe Chamber Orchestra where he plays both Harpsichord, organ and first keyboard and is professor of Harpsichord (Clavicembalo) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana. Busy establishing his own baroque ensemble, Jusuf is aiming to bring to his country musical excellence combined with best musical traditions of Antique Europe.
