JOLI BARTHA (real name Zsolt Alexandru Bartha) I was born in Bucharest, Romania, on October 11,1968 from Hungarian parents. I grew up listening to the music of the '50s and '60s it formed the a solid base in my soul consolidating my love for the music. In 1983 I enrolled in Military High School, which I left in 1985 to pursue a civil high School with mathematical-physics. which gave me the possibility to enter the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest (the ex Popular School of the Arts) - Professor Mirela Vlad from the Conservatorium in Bucharest taught me how to use my vocal cords in the bel canto manner. I always prefered songs which had the flavor of the '50s and '60s. In the summer1987 I participated in various music festivals where I was awarded with the Prize of Popularity(Big deal) considering that the rock'n'roll and thosemovements on stage, were not well accepted, during communism ). After military service, in 1989 , I resumed the musical studies and after the fall of the Ceausescu, I began working as singer in the various famous night clubs of Bucharest (Atheneè Palace, Intercontinental, etc.) live and Tv shows amongst well known artists. Member of the International Foundation Omeniaaimed at cooperation in works of charity and promotion of social morality and cultural. In my heart I always loved the goodmusic and I never made compromises. My favorite artists are so many: from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin,Tom Jones, Roy Orbison, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley to Fred Bongusto,Gianni Morandi,Nico Fidenco, Connie Francis and many; many others. I recently met Peter Ciani an Italo/Australian singer and songwriter, who introduced me to John Toso (Artistic director also Manager of Italian Way Music). Two important figures in the music industry who renewed my confidence to still follow my dream in the music world. I will always be grateful, to Peter Ciani and John Toso.
