Francesco Mascio, Italian guitarist and composer, born in Cassino in 1981.
He has a multi-year career with a four-figure number of concerts both in Italy,
from Turin to Caltanissetta, passing through Milan, Bologna, Rome, Naples, and
overseas in Europe and the United States. Numerous albums among which we
remember "Europa Jazz Quartet" (Zone di Musica 2012), "Mantras for a New Era"
(Zone di Musica 2013), "Ganga's Spirit" (Emme Record Label 2015), "Jaggae"
(Filibusta Records 2017) which brought it to play at the Auditorium Parco della
Musica in Rome, "Wu Way" (Fili-busta Records 2018), "Live at Strike" (Cultural
Bridge 2019) and his latest work "I Thàlassa Mas" (Manitu Records 2019). He had
a way to play with the great masters of Jazz such as Tony Monaco, Fran-cisco
Mela, Shawnn Monteiro, Fabrizio Bosso, Flavio Boltro, Karl Potter, Crystal
White, Gegè Telesforo, Rosario Giuliani, Pippo Matino and many others.
His compositions have gone through numerous styles to reach today a completely
original and characterizing production. Like all artists, he does not like to be
identified with a specific genre but, if we wanted to find his place, we could
make it part of a peculiar “Jazz Crossover”. Its vocation is clearly
experimentation, from east to west, without borders. Because Francesco Mascio
absorbs every experience, lived and observed, and transforms it into a profound
suggestion that, through music, he shares with the rest of the world.
