Paolo Manasse

Born into a family of musicians, Paolo Manasse began studying classical piano at the age of six with Maestro Ancillotti. During his high school years, he played piano, keyboards, as well as electric bass and drums, in various Milanese rock formations, collaborating and recording with the Dave Electric Band. Later, he discovered jazz by attending and graduating from the three-year jazz piano course of Franco D'Andrea at the Centro Professione Musica. Refinement took place by attending various seminars including at Berklee at Umbria Jazz, Jazz at Port Townsend (USA), Avigliana Jazz Workshop, and studying with various pianists including Massimo Colombo and Antonio Faraò, and finally, again with Franco D'Andrea. He often performs in Bologna and Milan, both in trio (3 PM Jazz Trio) and quartet (4 PM Jazz Quartet). He has collaborated with numerous musicians from Milan and Bologna: in addition to the musicians of the United Jazz Artists of Milan, Alessandro Lomele, Riccardo Frisari, Gianluca Alberti, Mirko Roccato, and (rock) Dave Electric.
