Francesco Malena, stage name Hk Lo Squaletto, was born on 09/04/91 in Cariati (CS), spent his childhood in Torre Melissa (KR), and later moved to Parma, where he has lived for twelve years. His passion for music matured with him. He began writing his first rhymes from the age of fourteen, eventually meeting Leeder, his musical partner, with whom they founded G-NIGHT, one of the most followed hip hop groups in Parma, later joined by Uncle Hush and J-Jeka. However, Hk Lo Squaletto also started his own solo path with numerous projects to his credit (various mixtapes and EPs). In addition to being a hip-hop/rap singer-songwriter and approaching soul, reggae, and glitch hop genres, as a hobby he produces experimental beatz with tech-house, tribal, and minimal nuances. The esteem for his music led Hk Lo Squaletto, in 2012, to draft his first official album with musician Paolo Rossini, an album that exudes inventiveness, dynamism, and nonconformity.
