Peter Ciani's first  major break into the Australian  entertainment industry arrived with his spectacular success on  the Australian talent/Variety television programme 'Show Case;  This success put him in constant demand in nightclubs and  cabarets right around Australia.  Peter made history in the Australian Music industry in 1963 when EMI. Released his first Australian disc with two of his  own co mposition in Italian for world release. One of his  EMI albums 'In Love Again; achieved critical acclaim and solid  radio play on AM stations across the country further  establishing Peter as one of our leading vocalists and easy  listening stars. At the age of 16, Peter sold his (Accordeon)  given to him by his mother, in order to pay for his train ticket  to reach Rome's Academy of music and Arts. These early years  of study were now resulting in major interest from Europe and  he was quickly enticed to the European circuit to perform live  and to cover the vibrant TV programmes including Italy's  leading current affairs programme 'Uno Mattina; Through his  loyal and enthusiastic Fan Club Peter has continued to work  hard for various charity, amongst others, the Sovereign Order  of St. John of Jerusalem, a charity organization. Peter's major breaks on European National  TV: UNO MATTINA-1987 and 1994. PORTOMATTO-1988.  Special guest at; Neapolitan Song Festival -1994. Special  Guest at PAOLO LIMITI- Rai Uno-1999. In the year 2000,  Peter  won the famous Reggio Emilia song festival with  his own Composition titled "La Bella Italia". Italian tour 2008 Peter and his Sun Pete Ross were special guest of  Suor Myriam Castelli on Rai International on May 18 –july 6 –  july 13 and on the thirty first of August 2008. Peter also sign  an international Records distribution deal with  Halidon.  Recognitions On Peter’s Career: Two Golden records- 1975-1980 - Silver Medal from the  Italian Senate- 2010 – Golden Lion Mario del Monaco –  Venezia – 2011- Radio Vatican City. The Department of Contemporary Music Studies of  Maquarrie University has enclosed, in two Books; Perfect  Beat and Outback & Urban Australian Country Music  Peter's Biography and all his Compositions & Recordings.
