Cristiano Francioni, whose stage name is Cristiano Effe, was born in Recanati on December 27th 1972. He obtains his high school qualification from Liceo Artistico and during the years of high school he begins to be interested in music. He falls in love with guitar and he learns how to play it as self-taught. He would spend days emulating old riffs from the 1970’s. These are his music stock at the beginning.Together with passion for music, Cristiano also develops a deep interest in poetry (preferring Montale and Leopardi). He started then composing his first verses, eventually published in an anthology of unpublished work titled “Voci della nostra terra” (“Voices from our land”). The fusion between these two disciplines gave life to his first songs. These were attempts to emulate, rather than real forms of personal expression. Nonetheless, the need to create his own music with original lyrics was already present. He tried to go beyond the horizon of the “cover” form of music, although forming and broad. For many years nothing happens: several bands he founded split in the same quick way they were born; at times they were failing experiments. He finally meets a friend, a guitar player with whom he formed “Bottega Via Vitali”, an “edifying” association. The duo “Bottega Via Vitali” performs in various clubs and public places. Cristiano puts new emphasis on his lifelong musical prerogative, that is to write his own pieces. In 2007 the band is finalist at the 9th edition of “Augusto Daolio - Citta’ di Sulmona” Price, where they perform an acoustic piece. Recently, the band divides. Cristiano’s first step and first thought is to give himself an identity.  He starts to perform almost always by himself in places whose main feature is harmony and sincerity. Above all, he keeps writing new songs which are eventually collected in a demo (to be completed), thanks to the precious help of Mines (http://www.mines1.net) for what concerns artistic production, arrangement; and thanks also to other musicians for the studio recordings. “Storie di Cristiano Effe” (“Stories by Cristiano Effe”) is an almost definitive product the author is really glad and proud to publish. May 2010, after a performance at the independent festival (Artika festival - http://www.artikafestival.it), Cristiano is finally supported by a real band who has a marked swing style (nearly the complete line up of “Storie di Cristiano Effe”). Together with them, he performs in many clubs and places around the province.
